MSc Gianluca Nurra

He holds a master’s degree in Agricultural Science and a one-year Post–degree Master on management of organic farms (University of Sassari, Italy).    

He worked for 5 years in one of the major Italian Control Bodies for the quality control and certification of agricultural, feed and food products, as lead certified auditor, and as certification coordinator, responsible for the control and supervision of the production, handling, labelling and marketing of organic food at international level.    

He worked for more than 6 years in two major international consultancy firms in the management and coordination of complex technical assistance projects on agriculture and rural development, sanitary and phytosanitary issues, food and feed safety etc.  He has more than 15 years overall international working experience in the field of food and feed safety, food quality control and certification, and sanitary and phytosanitary issues.    

Since 2019 he is scientific and technical advisor at COCERAL (European association of cereals and agrosupply traders), EUROMALT (European association representing the malting industry) and UNISTOCK (European association of professional portside storekeepers for agribulk commodities)
